Capturing Slides with the Digital Microscope:
•Turn the Digital Microscope on
•Make sure the silver handle on the microscope is pulled out all the the way to the right.
On the Computer:
•Click on the Motic Images Plus 2 Shortcut on the desktop:

To get this:

Under the File Menu, select Capture Window (or just press Ctrl+M)

Hide Motic Images to see the Capture Window:

Find your image and make adjustments. Use the following settings for the best results.
•Preview 600x800
•Capture Size 1600X1200 (or whatever you want)
Generally, the bigger the better, but if you're posting straight to the web, you may want to make these smaller for fast viewing.

Next push the Capture button:

You can take as many pictures as you want.
When you are finished,
Click here to review and save what you've captured:

Save your pictures (preferable on your own jump drive)

The Computer Resets every night:
•Save to a USB jump drive
•Email the pictures to yourself
•Save the images to the hard drive and then Burn the images to a CD-Rom

Save as Type:
JPEG
is lossy, but files are smaller for the web.
TIFF is lossless, so the quality is better for printing, but the files are bigger!
Important!
Please send me a copy here:
